DC Teases Return of Wally West and Donna Troy

Though we may occasionally harp on DC Comics, we can still get excited when they announce something worthwhile. Well, they didn’t really announce anything here. They did sort of tease it. For one frame. In an eight minute long video that features Kevin Smith talking about Man of Steel while Zack Snyder sort of nods, Dan Didio and Jim Lee sitting in their office thrones and assuring the public that the West Coast move is a completely sound  move, and a forty second long Injustice: Gods Among Us fight. However, within this eight minute long spectacle, is a blurry gem.

What we can make out from this image, seemingly taken by the same photographer who gave us the pictures of The Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot, is a tease towards the return of Wally West, Donna Troy and Stephanie Brown. The three are listed on a whiteboard in Dan Didio and Jim Lee’s office as follows:

Wally West > Flash

Donna Troy > SM/WM

Stephanie Brown > BWM Amazon

Each one of these characters are fan favorites who many readers have been clamoring for since they were seemingly vanished from canon with the introduction of the New 52 in 2011. Wally West, The Flash, might appear in, well, “Flash” (especially since it’s undergoing a change in creative teams). Donna Troy (aliases various) may appear in “Superman/Wonder Woman” (SM/WM) and Stephanie Brown has already confirmed to be appearing in the Batman weekly, “Batman Eternal” (BWM). It’s interesting to note that the BWM is crossed out and replaced with Amazon. This could mean a number of things most likely a connection to Wonder Woman and her island of Themyscria. Newsarama jokingly stated that Brown may now work for Amazon.com but there might be more weight to this than one might initially think. Could Stephanie Brown be reintroduced as a rollerblading Canadian hipster delivery girl for Amazon.ca who brings Bruce Wayne out of the funk brought about by losing his ex, Damian?

Bryan Lee O’Malley has not responded to any questions as to whether DC was going to straight up turn Stephanie Brown into Ramona Flowers, because we did not ask him.
