In a press release, DC Comics announced plans to celebrate the 750th issue of “The Flash” with the launch of a new story arc, ‘The Flash Age,’ and a host of creators, such as Marv Wolfman, Geoff Johns, Bryan Hitch, and more, all contributing additional stories for the issue. The issue will feature a cover by series artist Howard Porter, as well as a variant for each decade the character has been published, from artists including José Luis García-López, Jim Lee and Scott Williams and Gary Frank.
Series writer Joshua Williamson and artists Rafa Sandoval and Jordi Tarragona will be leading the issue, with events set in motion from “The Flash” #50 coming to a head with the introduction of Paradox, an individual destined to destroy The Flash’s legacy. The issue will see Paradox’s herald, Godspeed, arrive to trap the Flash family. As for extra stories included in the issue, details have been kept under wraps, with DC only teasing that the stories will be from “across the generations and multiverses of super-speedsters.” Williamson said it is an “honor to work on ‘The Flash’ #750 with so many returning Flash legends,” and detailed that each story “celebrates what we love about the Flash and the Flash family.”
“The Flash” #750 will be an 80-page prestige format issue and is set for release on February 26.
