DCnU: Wonder Woman Just Can’t Keep Her Pants On

It seems really weird to have to write this, but in case you haven’t heard: Wonder Woman is having issue with pants. First she gains a pair during the Odyssey arc as a way to “update” the character, much to fan outcry (despite some people rather adamantly detracting her for only wearing the equivalent of a bathing suit). She also gains some pants in the TV show, but people are still disappointed. Finally, DC’s relaunch comes along, and it appears she once again will not have pants – and people seem more or less “ok” with it, in a sort of “Well, nothing else we can do about it” way.

However, as spied by Bleeding Cool, a DC relaunch sampler hitting stores next week shows a redesigned and pants-less Wonder Woman on the cover. Which means – well, not a whole lot, but someone at DC just can’t make up their minds.

Pants. No pants. Does it matter? You decide. Sound off in the comments below on your need for a heroine to have pants, and let’s resolve this matter once and for all.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
