Announced earlier today on DC’s blog and via press releases sent out, it looks like DC has announced a brand new game called Injustice: Gods Among Us right before E3 hits.

Starring the DCnU versions of all your favorite heroes, the game is designed by the folks who did Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe as well as the Mortal Kombat series reboot. This will be a similar brawler developed by Netherrealm Studios, and it allows you to punch things up with Superman, Batman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Lex Luther, Wonder Woman (in pants!) and the Flash throughout multiple locations in the DC Universe. It’s also written by DC vets Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray, who wrote Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe as well, and it seems to imply that the Justice League are the bad guys. That’s probably not good.

There’s a ton more on Gamespot as well. For the full press release from DC Entertainment and Warner Bros, please see below.
