In the back of DC comics this week and on the front page of DC’s The Source blog, the Distinguished Competition posits a question to us: what does it all mean? The question is in regards to an image in both locations that blends together a man sitting at a computer, a phone, a Francis Manapul Superboy and Red Robin, a Mr. Freeze and Bat-Mite from Rafael Albuquerque, a Hal Jordan vs. Sinestro from an unknown artist, as well as a young, amateur Superboy from another unknown artist.
As Ian Sattler (Guididio) says:
Greetings, DC Nation! This week we are beyond excited to preview art from a project that is coming to your local comic shop very soon. This is one of those great books that make us all stand around the editor’s office going “wow.” Can you guess what it is? Check this space next week for the full rundown. Trust me – you’re gonna want to see more of this.
Be seeing you,
– Ian Sattler, Senior Story Editor DCU
My take, as the second and third Source commenters suggest, would be the second Wednesday Comics. To me, that’s what seems to be the most likely given that its an amalgam of disparate subjects as well as a range of artists. I’m excited whatever it is – anything that combines Albuquerque and Manapul is a sure fire winner for me.
Look for more next week, as we’ll get our answers then.
