The trailer for the DC Universe app’s Titans series has been released, but be careful, this is a TV-MA promo:

As its rating implies, the trailer reveals the live-action Titans is a very dark, adult-aimed affair. The emphasis in this promo is heavily placed on Raven / Rachel Roth (Teagan Croft), who seeks the help of Robin / Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) in controlling her demonic alter-ego. Robin himself appears to be struggling with his own dark side however, brutally taking down a group of thugs with their own pistols: when asked “Where’s Batman?,” he intones, “Fuck Batman.” (This is definitely not a CW series.)
We also get glimpses of Hawk and Dove (Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly), who seem both equally violent, the latter using her razor-sharp wings to make her enemies bleed. We do also get to see Beast Boy / Garfield Logan (Ryan Potter) and Starfire / Koriand’r (Anna Diop) in action, with their respective trademark green and orange skin colors seemingly only appearing when their powers are in use.
Titans will be released on the DC Universe app (available on iOS, Android, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android TV) later this year. The price point for the app was also revealed today at San Diego Comic Con, with it retailing for a monthly fee of $7.99, or an annual subscription of $74.99. Those who pre-order now can receive the service for the first three months free, and as a special incentive, those who pre-order between today and Sunday, July 22nd, will be entered into a sweepstakes to attend the US premier of Aquaman in December.
