Following up Vertigo’s two previous anthology issues Strange Adventures (which featured sneak peeks at Saucer Country and Spaceman) and The Unexpected (which featured a sneak peek of Dominique Laveau, Voodoo Child), Vertigo has announced via Blastr that a new anthology is on the way, this time titled Mystery In Space based on the 60’s sci-fi anthology comic of the same name.

Featuring the pictured variant cover by Mike Allred, the book will feature interior stories by such creators as Mike Allred, Paul Pope, Nnedi Okorafor, Michael Wm. Kaluta, Robert Rodi, Sebastian Fiumara, Ann Nocenti, Fred Harper, Andy Diggle, Davide Gianfelice, Steve Orlando, Francesco Trifogli, Ming Doyle and others. As always, it is an impressive line-up of creators that you kind of wish you saw more from on Vertigo, let alone DC in general.

The comic is set for release in May on DC’s Vertigo imprint, and is sure to take you into space and blast you with cosmic radiation. Or rather, it’ll let you read about that happening to others, which is the next best thing, really.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
