Everyone knew that Fred Van Lente was going to be bringing out his own Avengers book, and people made it a guessing game via Twitter as to who would be in the lineup. No one was ever right and now we know why.
Fred Van Lente presents…the Dead Avengers!
Spinning out of the upcoming “Chaos War” event written by Greg Pak and Van Lente, “Chaos War: Dead Avengers” finds assembled dead former Avengers rising up (not literally…they’re still dead) to help Hercules battle the Chaos King…aka Amatsu Mikaboboshi from Incredible Hercules. The team is led by Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell style) and features The Vision, Doctor Druid (yes!), Swordsman, Yellowjacket II and Deathcry and from the sounds of Van Lente’s interview with CBR will be all kinds of awesome.
Look for this three issue mini-series to launch in November from Van Lente and artist Tom Grummett.
