This November, writer Ed Brisson (“Old Man Logan,” “Uncanny X-Men”) and artist Mike Henderson (“Deadpool Vs. Old Man Logan”) will begin “Dead Man Logan,” a 12-part limited series described as the “final Old Man Logan story.” The comic will follow Old Man Logan as he attends to “unfinished business,” namely with Mysterio, who tricked him into killing all of the X-Men before the events of Mark Millar and Steve McNiven’s original ‘Old Man Logan’ story.

Brisson described how there will be “lots of big battles and some crazy stuff” in the series, noting that given the title’s name, the destination isn’t a secret; “This one’s all about the journey.” Brisson also stated he wanted to work on a project with Henderson, citing an email he had found from back in 2011 saying that he’d like to work with the artist.

Henderson himself described being involved in the project as a “huge thrill” because of how invested people have become in the Old Man Logan character. He stated getting to work with both Ed Brisson and colorist Nolan Woodard were long-time ambitions of his, and that getting to work with them both at the same time was like “sorcery.”

Declan Shalvey, who worked with Henderson previously on “Deadpool Vs. Old Man Logan,” will be drawing the covers for the series. He praised the creative team for the comic, saying “”I’ve been a fan of Ed’s work for years, and consider myself a Mike Henderson acolyte,” and that it should “give the grumpy old bastard a great send-off!”

“Dead Man Logan” #1 will be released in November. The full solicitation is below:

DEAD MEANS DEAD.
The writing’s been on the wall for months now… Logan is dying. And he ain’t getting any better. Sick from the Adamantium coating his skeleton, his search for a cure has led to nothing but dead ends. But for once he’s actually trying to leave this world with some unfinished business… Can Logan take his last breath without slaughtering the X-Men again? Not if Mysterio has anything to say about it…
Superstar creative team ED BRISSON (OLD MAN LOGAN, UNCANNY X-MEN) and MIKE HENDERSON (DEADPOOL VS. OLD MAN LOGAN), with covers by DECLAN SHALVEY (MOON KNIGHT), is putting this old dog out of his misery with a bang!
