From DC Connect #14

In this month’s DC Connect #14, DC have confirmed several new titles debuting this fall, including:

– “Deathstroke, Inc.,” by “The Flash” creative team of writer Joshua Williamson and artist Howard Porter. Slade Wilson’s new series — his first since the conclusion of Christopher Priest’s ‘Rebirth’ run — sees the grizzled assassin join “an ages-old secret organization called T.R.U.S.T., who want to take down the heavy-hitter villains” of the DC Universe. They give him a new team and resources, including a new partner: Black Canary. The first issue goes on sale September 28.

– “Black Manta,” a six-issue limited series starring Aquaman’s nemesis, by writer Chuck Brown (“Bitter Root”) and artist Valentine De Landro (“Bitch Planet”). Picking up from the events of August’s “Aquaman 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular,” the book sees David Hyde/Black Manta competing with new villain Devil Ray to find a rare metal with incredible powers, and tangling with a former ally named Torrid. Issue #1 goes on sale September 7. This will be the second Aquaman series starting in September, after “Aquaman: The Becoming,” which will depict Black Manta’s son, Jackson Hyde/Aqualad, taking on Arthur Curry’s mantle.

– “Harley Quinn: The Animated Series – The Eat, Bang, Kill Tour,” by writer Tee Franklin (“Bingo Love”) and artist Max Sarin (“Giant Days”). The six-issue mini picks up after season two of the HBO Max cartoon, when Poison Ivy left Kite Man at the altar for Harley. Issue #1 releases September 14.

– “Suicide Squad: King Shark,” by writer Tim Seeley and artist Trevor Hairsine. The six-issue comic follows King Shark and the Defacer while on leave from the Suicide Squad, as they enter “a mystical tournament for totemic animal spirits at the behest of King Shark’s father, the god of sharks!” Issue #1 releases September 21.

– “Titans United,” a seven-part series by writer Cavan Scott and artist Jose Luis. The book, which starts on September 14, sees the team “face their greatest challenge — their own powers! Nightwing, Donna Troy, Superboy, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, and Red Hood kick off a thrilling new case that will lead one of their own to question not only their place on the team, but their very existence.”

– “Are You Afraid of Darkseid?,” an 80-page anthology of scary stories from the DC Universe, due out October 5. Creators include Elliott Kalan, Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing, Ed Brisson, Max Dunbar, Mike Norton, and many more, including cover artist Dan Hipp.

DC Connect #14 can be read online for free now, on DC Universe Infinite and via PDF. It will be released in comic book stores on Tuesday, June 29.
