After Jeph Loeb took over as the head of Marvel TV, a lot of fans wondered what was going to come next. There have been a lot of rumors, but things took a rather high profile turn last night as Deadline shared that Guillermo Del Toro and David Eick are going to develop a new Hulk television series for ABC.

For those that don’t know (and if you’re reading this site, that probably means not you), Del Toro is the auteur behind films like Hellboy and Pan’s Labyrinth, while Eick was the executive producer of the re-imagining of Battlestar Galactica. So they are a pretty big deal. According to the article, Del Toro and Eick will develop the show together, with Eick writing the script to the pilot and Del Toro directing (assuming his availability). You can’t get much more exciting than that on a comic book project.

More details on this as we get them.
