Revealed at Dark Horse’s blog, the third teaser (one and two for reference) for whatever Dark Horse is announcing at Comic Con was revealed. Showing a stylized biohazard symbol, the image simply says “DEL TORO”, which one can assume is in reference to director Guillermo, who has ties to Dark Horse due to his direction of the Hellboy movies.

The folks over at CBR further analyze the images, noting that the image when delivered had the word “strain” in it, which seems to reference the novel series written by del Toro and Chuck Hogan, two of which are released now. Is it possible that they are bringing the series, which centers around vampires, to Dark Horse in comic form? And what do Morello and Cast have to do with anything (the only Morello I can think of is Tom Morello).

We’ll let you know more with SDCC coming up this week.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
