Detective Space Cat Launches, Changes Cat Detectives Forever

Alright, I realize that there is an obvious bias in this post. I write Detective Space Cat, and I alongside Joe Eisma first debuted the damn cat on this very website. And yet, for those of you who are long time readers of Multiversity and are familiar with the Space Cat joke and the awards he has won, it stands to reason that a post about the comic launching is worthwhile for you (as well as potential fans).

So here’s the skinny: I, alongside Mr. Colin Bell (writer of Jonbot vs Martha) write Detective Space Cat. Nina Cadman illustrates and colours it. Colin letters. I make puns. It’s a comic about a cat in space who is a detective named Space Cat, and he solves mysteries in space as a cat detective. He has a penchant for drugs, liquor and horrible puns/similes. He’s also fairly adorable.

It’ll be a weekly strip every Wednesday for the low, low price of absolutely free, and while it’s an ongoing story each strip is designed to be read on it’s own so you can drop out and hop in whenever you like. That’s a pretty good deal, right?

That’s about the gist of it. I’d love if you took a look. I think it’s pretty funny.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
