“Devil May Cry 5 – Visions of V” tells a story from the perspective of V, a new playable character with a mysterious past created for the game, which takes place several years after the events of Devil May Cry 4. According to CAPCOM, “Before chaos fell upon Red Grave City, [V] sought out Dante through the information broker Morrison and tasked him to subdue a certain demon. V lacks the power to fight himself, instead relying on three demon familiars to take the offensive in battle.”
“Chapter 0,” the prologue to the spinoff manga, is currently up on the LINE Manga app and website, a free digital comic service for smartphones, available in Japan only. According to a tweet from Ogata, fans who haven’t finished the game yet don’t have to worry, as “Chapter 0” contains no spoilers. The first chapter of “Devil May Cry 5 – Visions of V” is slated for release on April 27, 2019, after which a new chapter will publish on the Line Manga app every other Saturday.
