This morning at the D23 Expo’s Walt Disney Studios presentation in Anaheim, California, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige brought on Black Panther director Ryan Coogler, who announced Black Panther II (working title) will be released on May 6, 2022. (This currently leaves two Marvel Studios projects yet to be announced for February 18 and July 29, 2022.)

Marvel also brought the full cast of The Eternals, which will now include Gemma Chan (who previously played Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel) as the cultured Eternal Sersi, and Barry Keoghan (Y, Chernobyl) as the scheming Druig. It was also announced Game of Thrones‘ Kit Harington will reunite with his onscreen brother Richard Madden (Ikaris) as the human Dane Whitman, who in the comics becomes Black Knight, an Avenger who wields the ancient Ebony Blade.

The Eternals, directed by Chloe Zhao and also starring Don Lee, Angelina Jolie, Lauren Ridloff, Salma Hajek, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh and Brian Tyree Henry, hits theaters on November 6, 2020.

During the Lucasfilm portion of the announcements, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker director J.J. Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy brought on stage most of the film’s cast, and debuted a sizzle reel, which will be released online on Monday. They also debuted a new teaser poster for the film, which shows Rey and Kylo Ren in combat as the specter of Darth Sidious looms:

The Rise of Skywalker concludes the Skywalker Saga on December 20. For more on Disney’s latest announcements, head on over to their Twitter page.
