DnA Assemble The Annihilators

Looks like the cosmic adventure isn’t quite over.

While the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Nova Corps are over, it looks like the “Cosmic Avengers” are getting their shot. In March, a new 4-issue series called Annihilators will come out from DnA, starring The Silver Surfer, Beta-Ray Bill, Gladiator, Quasar, and Ronan the Accuser. The book will feature art Tan Eng Huat, and the story will be about the Annihilators fighting impending attacks from Dire Wraiths. As the solicit reads, “the Annihilators must band together to prevent the sinister shape-shifting horde from destroying the universe itself. Innocent worlds teeter on the precipice of destruction… so it’s time for the best of the best to unite and unleash righteous justice!” I can only find the name ultimately appropriate, seeing as it was Annihilation that kicked off all of this cosmic awesomeness, and now that the original epic has come to a conclusion, the new one can begin in the same realm.

THAT’S NOT ALL, though. Remember the previously announced Groot/Rocket Raccoon mini? Looks like it’ll be contained in this book – but not as a back-up. Both titles will be FULL LENGTH 22-PAGE COMICS in one book. The story will feature art by Timothy Green II and, as the solicit reads, “launch Rocket Raccoon and Groot on an adventure that’ll change their lives forever.” So the whole thing will cost $4.99, but you’re getting two books in here for essentially $2.50 each. Not bad for cosmic fans, if you ask me.

Now – let’s just see if this all has something to do with the other previously rumored Project Groot.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
