Doctor Who’s Series 7 Premiere Gets A Poster And Will Air… Soon

As revealed on the official Doctor Who tumblr, we now have the above teaser image for the first episode of this season, “Asylum of the Daleks.” Written by Steven Moffat and directed by Nick Hurran, we know little about it other than death is on the horizon and that it will air — Oh. Wait. Nobody is telling. There are apparently rumors that it will air September 1st, but as of the last news-related piece I’ve seen on the subject, there is no official air date except for “September 2012.” So keep your eyes peeled.

The fourteen episode series will be split in two just like Series 6, with the first five airing sometime next month before taking a break until the Christmas special. We also know the first five episode titles before the break for Christmas: “Asylum of the Daleks,” “Dinosaurs on a Spaceship,” “A Town Called Mercy,” “The Power of the Three” and “The Angels Take Manhattan,” the first and last of which are written by Moffat, so expect all doom and gloom with those.

We’ll let you know more as we learn it.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
