Today, Dynamite Entertainment announced that both “James Bond” and “Dejah Thoris” are returning to comics this December. PreviewsWorld broke the news on both new ongoing series, and shared covers for each.

“James Bond” will be written by Vita Ayala (“Morbius,” “Xena: Warrior Princess”) and Danny Lore (“Queen of Bad Dreams”), with art, colors, and letters from returning “Bond” contributors Eric Gapstur, Roshan Kurichiyanil, and Ariana Maher, respectively.

According to PreviewsWorld, the series will focus on Bond’s investigation of an art forgery ring that is part of “an entire Pandora’s Box of international crime and corruption.” The book will also initially feature connecting covers from artist Jim Cheung (“Justice League,” “Young Avengers”), the first of which you can see below.

The new “Dejah Thoris” series will be written by Dan Abnett (“Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Aquaman”), penciled by Vasco Georgiev (“Xena: Warrior Princess”), colored by Dearbhla Kelly (“Red Sonja”), and lettered by Simon Bowland (“James Bond: Origin”). In it, Thoris will tackle the problem of “Global Freezing,” which may or may not have been orchestrated by a secret, sci-fi Illuminati that has set up shop on the world of Barsoom.

The series will feature variant covers from a number of artists who are famous for working with or portraying female characters, including artists Lucio Parrillo (“Vengeance of Vampirella”), Joseph Michael Linser (“Dawn”), Adam Hughes (“Wonder Woman”), and Billy Tucci (“Shi”), as well as cosplayer Mai.

Both series are slated to release in December 2019, with exact release dates still to be announced.
