According to Bleeding Cool, it seems Dynamite! Entertainment – kingpins of licensing anything they can get their hands on – has purchased the library of Chaos! Comics. For those that were not comic savvy during the 90’s, Chaos! Comics was a comic that focused on “bad girls” and hellish images, and that fusion of goth and scantily clad ladies generated a TON of buzz back in the day.
What this means is all of the old favorites like Evil Ernie, Chastity and Purgatori can make a triumphant return in Dynamite! books sooner rather than later.
Well, not all of the old favorites. It seems Avatar purchased the rights to Lady Death (by far the most prominent Chaos! character due to certain…traits she featured) from CrossGen after that company went under, so none of that for Dynamite!
I never thought I’d see another Chaos! style book again, but I can’t say I’m surprised that they’ll be coming back. I guess Zenescope kind of opened the door a bit for that, haven’t they?
