After moviegoers saw The Dark Knight, there was one question that some people wanted answered: was Harvey Dent, a.k.a. Two Face, actually dead? After a lot of contradicting interviews and statements, we finally have a firm answer of “yes.” In an interview with MTV, actor Aaron Eckhart has confirmed that he will not be returning as Two Face. According to Eckhart:
Chris and I had a meeting, on the beach, just the two of us. I said, ‘Chris, a lot of people are asking me if I’m in the next ‘Batman.’ And Chris said, ‘Yes?’ I said, ‘Am I?’ He looked at me and he said, ‘No.’
Well, you can’t really get much clearer than that. I was one of those who wanted Eckhart back, as I feel he really did the best job out of every actor in the film.
