Top Shelf’s got a new comic coming for you and they’re very excited to share it with you. The book, entitled “Wizzywig”, is written and illustrated by Ed Piskor and tells the true story of Kevin “Boingthump” Phenicle, a “serial hacker.” Filtered through Piskor’s style, this fictional graphic novel based on true events and real people looks to be a blast, and to help hype up its release Top Shelf has released a trailer for the book played to the “Wizzywig” theme song by nerdcore superstar Adam WarRock.

Heres the description for the book for you:

Inspired by the incredible stories of real-life hackers, WIZZYWIG is the thrilling tale of a master manipulator, Kevin “Boingthump” Phenicle — his journey from precocious child scammer to federally-wanted fugitive, and beyond. In a world transformed by social networks, data leaks, and digital uprisings, Ed Piskor’s debut graphic novel reminds us how much power can rest in the hands of an audacious kid with a keyboard.

Take a viewing of the trailer above, and “Wizzywig” comes out later this summer at 288-pages for $19.95 (or a $9.99 digital download).

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
