So we’ve been a buzz about JMS writing both Superman and Wonder Woman, and DC has shown us some Gary Frank art to go along with these updates. We still don’t know who the regular artist for each book is. Today, DCU’s The Source announced who would be on Superman: Eddy Barrows! Hoorah!

For those wondering, Eddy Barrows is the artist for the upcoming War of the Superman, to start on Free Comic Book Day this year. He draws a pretty killer Man Of Steel (pictured here), and has been doing a lot of DC covers for a while. Some that you might recognize is the Blackest Night JSA triptych, as well as some awesome Green Lantern variants. He’s really very good, and I’m excited to see more of his work. Plus, with all this New Krypton stuff finally over, it’ll be really great to have a brand new story from a top notch writer and an artist with some chutzpah.

Count me in for Superman #700.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
