Adam Warren’s long-running sexy superhero comedy series will continue this fall, when “Empowered” returns for volume 11. Dark Horse announced (via press release) that “Empowered” volume 11 will pick up right where volume 10 left off, featuring 216 pages of “nonstop cover-to-cover caped combat.”
“Empowered is back and in distress!” begins Dark Horse’s description of the upcoming installment. “She finds herself the target of a maniacal new supervillain who uses his godlike powers to turn the entire city of suprahumans against her. Outnumbered and under siege, aided only by the ghost of a slain hero, can Empowered survive the onslaught long enough to free her enslaved teammates and loved ones? Or is this the end of Emp and the rest of the Superhomeys for good?”
“Empowered” vol. 11 is the first main-series “Empowered” release since June 2017, though fans have had the “Empowered & Sistah Spooky’s High School Hell” miniseries (written by Warren and illustrated by Carla Speed McNeil) to tide them over in the meantime. Still, “Empowered” suprafans will likely be ecstatic to see what happens to Emp and the rest of the Superhomeys gang later this year, and they won’t have to wait much longer. “Empowered” vol. 11 releases in comic shops on September 18, and will be available in bookstores starting October 1.
