I guess hammers are going to be falling out of the sky in Fear Itself, leading people like the Absorbing Man, Giant Man, and Ms. Marvel to fight over who gets to weild power similar to Thor.
With the recent Marvel solicits, we’ve actually sort of been given a look at what is coming in Fear Itself. Don’t know what I mean? Take a look at this solicit for Fear Itself #2:
The Mighty Thor–imprisoned by his own father! As Odin and the Asgardians leave the Earth to fend for itself against the God of Fear, the Avengers and the world’s remaining heroes battle the unstoppable tide of terror! So with Thor out of the picture, is it possible that maybe Odin has thrown out a bunch of hammers so that Seven people can all come at the new God of Fear with the power of the Mighty Thor? Or rather, this aforementioned Serpent, who could very well be Jörmungandr, the World Serpent who surrounds Earth and swallowed his own tail? Legend has it that not only is he the enemy of Thor, but if he decides to let go of his tail the world will end… hmm.
