EXCLUSIVE: Nonplayer To Be 7 Issues Now (Maybe)

Last week we ran an interview with Nate Simpson, genius extraordinaire behind Nonplayer – the most impressive debut we’ve seen this year. It has gotten one of the highest scores any of us have given out this year with a 9.9, and if you didn’t buy it already you should probably hurry to your shop. That said, the only reason it didn’t get a 9.9 was because it was only going to be 6 issues instead of being an ongoing.

Until maybe now. As some of you may have gleaned from the interview, the story might be boosted by one extra issue. As Simpson said,

It’s planned for six issues. The whole thing has already been plotted out, it’s already been written, but I’m discovering that it may be a little hard to fit into the sixth issue. It may bleed over into a seventh issue. That, in fact, may be an exclusive to you guy, so you heard it here!

Exclusive, you say? We’ll take it!

Image has certainly been putting out excessively popular books that have turned into larger stories due to good sales, with Green Wake and Who Is Jake Ellis? both becoming ongoings due to popularity. It seems Nonplayer will be the next book to extend a bit beyond it’s original mini status, albeit not as large a stay as the others.

So. You heard it here first. Nonplayer #7. Look forward to it.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
