“I’m excited to dive back into ‘Faithless’ with Maria,” Azzarello told The Beat. “When we last saw Faith, it appeared she’d gotten all that she’d wished for, but at what cost? Well, since the devil is involved it shouldn’t be too hard to guess the price. We’re going to take Faith from the heady downtown art scene and move her to Turin, a city steeped in both black and white magic.”
Llovet added, “It was truly fantastic working with this team on Faith’s initial journey. I’m so glad to be back to these characters and thrilled to plunge deeper into the world of ‘Faithless!'” BOOM! Studios Executive Editor Sierra Hahn also said, “Faith’s search for magic in life, in art, and in love is far from over, and delving more deeply into her journey with Brian and Maria is entirely too much fun. More surprises await as we invite you to sink deeper into Faith’s explorations of the ‘taboo’ in ‘Faithless II.'”
Also today, BOOM! Studios announced a Buffy the Vampire Slayer one-shot, “Buffy: Every Generation” #1, created by Nilah Magruder, Morgan Beem, Lauren Garcia, Caitlin Yarsky, Lauren Knight, and Alex Guimarães. Details regarding the contents of the one-shot are being kept tightly under wraps for the moment, only that it will reveal the secret origins of some of the most significant Slayers in history. Executive Editor Jeanine Schaefer teased the introduction of a new character that will “turn the whole universe on its head.”
Lastly, the publisher announced that April’s “Go Go Power Rangers” #32 will be the final issue of the series. Ryan Parrott, Sina Grace, Francesco Mortarino, Simona Di Gianfelice, Raúl Angulo and Ed Dukeshire will all be involved in the final issue, which will see an end to the ‘Necessary Evil’ story arc.
“Faithless II” #1 will be released in April, and like the first series, each issue will have explicit, polybagged variant covers by Tula Lotay. “Buffy: Every Generation” #1 will be released on April 8, and “Go Go Power Rangers” #32 is set for release on April 22.
