Falcon: Wingman For Hire

Marvel has released their second new teaser, this time featuring Falcon and the words “Wingman For Hire.” This is just after yesterday’s teaser, featuring Elektra as Assassin For Hire.

The recurring theme here is already rather clear: we have a group of costumed heroes, and their services are for hire. They are, for lack of better terms, heroes for hi-…oh, wait a minute! I see what you did there, Marvel!

So is December going to be the return of the Heroes For Hire? The last time we had a Heroes for Hire book, it was coming straight out of Civil War and ending with World War Hulk, written by Palmiotti and Gray and then Zeb Wells. Yesterday I commented that I would love to see an Elektra book by Wells, but perhaps this is Marvel bringing back the Heroes for Hire under their previous author’s pen? Granted, no names have appeared around this project, but that hasn’t stopped us from speculating before.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
