Following last week’s reveal of three new ‘Fall of X’ titles, Marvel have unveiled the final three series debuting as part of the X-Men event this summer: “Children of the Vault,” “Alpha Flight,” and “Uncanny Spider-Man.”

Covers (L-R) by Leonard Kirk, Tony Daniel, and Yanick Paquette

– “Children of the Vault” is a four-issue series written by Deniz Camp (in his Marvel debut) with art by Luca Maresca, which follows Cable and Bishop as they hunt down the titular villains, who’ve been released from their prison as a result of the events in July’s “X-Men: Hellfire Gala 2023.” Introduced in Mike Carey and Chris Bachalo’s “X-Men” #188 in 2006, the Children of the Vault are a technologically advanced offshoot of humanity, with dark designs for mutantkind, and who now wish to give their tech to the rest of humanity.

– “Alpha Flight,” by writer Ed Brisson and artist Scott Godlewski. The five-part series sees a schism form in the ranks of Canada’s premier superheroes, as the government goes on the offensive against Captain Krakoa, forming a new team, and a new line of Sentinels. Battle lines are drawn between Guardian, Puck, Snowbird, and Shaman, and their former (mutant) teammates Aurora, Northstar, and Nemesis, as well as Aurora’s partner Fang. It marks Alpha Flight’s fifth series, and the first since 2011’s ‘Fear Itself’ tie-in.

– “Uncanny Spider-Man,” a five-part series where none other than Nightcrawler becomes New York’s newest Spider-Man. “Way of X” and “Legion of X” writer Si Spurrier will continue to pen Kurt Wagner’s adventures, with Lee Garbett joining him on art. According to Spurrier, Kurt’s unusual turn comes about because Krakoa did not offer him “the joy,” “freedom,” and “thrill” of being a superhero. “But of course it’s not quite that simple,” he says. “Is Nightcrawler really doing this for the thrill? Or is he hiding? Is it easier to put on a mask and punch some villains in the nose than it is to stare trauma in the eye…?”

“Children of the Vault” begins August 9, “Alpha Flight” #1 goes on sale August 16, and “Uncanny Spider-Man” starts September 6. In the meantime, “X-Men: Hellfire Gala 2023” will kick off ‘Fall of X’ on July 26, with “Uncanny Avengers,” “Astonishing Iceman,” “Dark X-Men,” and “Realm of X” also debuting in August. Head to the links for more, as well as here for a sneak peek at how ‘Fall of X’ will unfold in August’s issues of “Immortal X-Men” and “X-Men Red,” and (in case you missed it) the initial announcement at the start of the month revealing the era’s storylines in “X-Men,” “X-Force,” and more.
