Following last weekend’s line-up reveal, Marvel have revealed details on three ‘Fall of X’ titles starting in August: “Astonishing Iceman,” “Dark X-Men,” and “Realm of X.”

– “Astonishing Iceman,” written by Steve Orlando with art by Vincenzo Carratù (“Mary Jane & Black Cat”). The ongoing series will see Bobby Drake striking out on his own as an independent superhero, setting up an ice palace as his base of operations in Antarctica, pushing his powers to the limits as he battles the anti-mutant group Orchis, and all-new enemies. “Iceman’s newfound purpose will position him amongst Marvel’s most powerful beings, but a dark side effect of his new mission could cause it all to shatter…”
– “Dark X-Men,” penned by Steve Foxe and drawn by Jonas Scharf (“Basilisk”). This ‘Dark Web’ follow-up sees Madelyne Pryor, Havok, Archangel, and Gambit form a new team that also includes Azazel, Zero/Kenji Uedo, Albert (the android doppelganger of Wolverine/Logan), and Emplate/Marius St. Croix. “This deadly group will band together to fill the void left by the X-Men, and are seemingly the perfect team to combat the harsh conditions of ‘Fall of X.’ Their hearts are in the right place, but under the unpredictable leadership of the Goblin Queen and operating out of New York’s new Limbo Embassy, will this team’s dark ways turn the tide for mutantkind, or make things far worse?”
– “Reign of X” by Torunn Grønbekk and Diógenes Neves (“Deathstroke”) sees Magik, Dani Moonstar, Marrow, Dust, Curse, and Typhoid Mary get mysteriously transported to Vanaheim (one of Thor’s Ten Realms), where they learn they “hold the key to fulfilling a prophecy that can either raise the realm to riches — or cause it to fall to ruin. With Magik’s powers malfunctioning and a mysterious figure amassing power on the outskirts of the realm, these X-Men are going to going to have to band together if they want to stay alive long enough to find their way home!”
“Astonishing Iceman” will start first on August 2, followed by “Dark X-Men” on August 16, and “Reign of X” on August 23. The ‘Fall of X’ era itself will begin beforehand with the one-shot “X-Men: Hellfire Gala 2023” on July 26.
