This Halloween, filmmaker Carl G. Martin was dressing up as P.I. from Brian K. Vaughan and Marcos Martin’s brilliant “The Private Eye”, and to showcase that costume, he made a short film – a teaser trailer if you will – for an adaptation of the comic. The results, as you can see above, are very entertaining, and well worth a view.
And I’m not just saying that because it closes with Hall & Oates, although that does help quite a bit.
Either way, well done by Martin, and this certainly underlines the potential of this comic as a movie, even if it is already pretty covered by the near perfect comic Vaughan and Martin are crafting, which you can and should buy at their site.
