Feast Your Eyes On John Cassaday’s Uncanny Avengers Right (Marvel) Now

Debuted at Entertainment Weekly, the new apparent home for all relevant comic book news, we now have our first look at the Uncanny Avengers of “Uncanny Avengers.” The team consists of, from top right and going clockwise, Havok (who will now be team leader), Rogue, Wolverine, Captain America (not as blatantly in his movie costume, as we saw in the Quesada promo), the Scarlet Witch (in a new outfit) and Thor (looking very much like Chris Hemsworth). Not only that, but as is mentioned in the article, it looks like Rogue and Scarlet Witch will be playing a big part in the book — or, as Remender himself puts it on Twitter, a bigger part than the males.

Expect to be seeing a lot of Marvel NOW! updates, folks. They’re coming fast and hard, but with SDCC being right around the corner you can be darn sure this initial flood is but the first few waves of a tsunami.

But hey, there could be worse ways to start things off than with a John Cassaday cover, right?

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
