Appearing on the Daily Star (with a hat tip to CBR), you now have your first unofficial look at the cast of Gotham.

The highly-anticipated Batman-based TV show that won’t actually feature Batman (at least, not as a main character), the Jim Gordon-centric pilot is currently filming. And, because getting on set and snapping photos seems to be as easy as putting on a hat these days, we now know what Ben McKenzie as Jim Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock and Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot will look like. Take a look:

It feels important to say, but as these are on-set photos I wouldn’t be too harsh on them. They don’t really give you much context, nor do they really fit within what the show will actually try and portray in its final iteration. However, one thing is for sure: how Donal Logue was not cast as Harvey Bullock before is mind-boggling, because he’s kind of perfect, right?

The final version of the show will feature other Batman characters like Selina Kyle, Alfred Pennyworth and more, and is but one of four DC-based titles currently in development alongside “Flash,” “iZombie” (which seems to be in name only) and “Constantine.” The DC TV takeover has only just begun.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
