As debuted on Marvel.com, fans of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD‘s Fitz and fictional AI monkeys are about to have a good day.

It turns out that Quesada made a strip originally for the cast and crew of SHIELD starring Agent Leo Fitz and an AI monkey named HENRY, based on the recurring show gag that Fitz wants a monkey helper. Now these strips will see the light of day, as part of the upcoming “SHIELD” series by Mark Waid and Carlos Pacheco for the first three issues.

And that’s about all there is to say about that one. The comic debuts December 31st, and Fitz will continue talking to non-existent things weekly on SHIELD, Tuesdays at 9 PM EST.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
