The fourth teaser for the X-event Second Coming has appeared online, brandishing the tagline “One will sacrifice.” As we see above, the image features most of X-Force as well as Cable. With the plot of Second Coming being about Hope returning to our timeline and joining up with the X-Men in Nation X, as well as the consequences of such an action, I would imagine that the only person in that image with anything to sacrifice is Cable.
The image itself is pretty interesting, as we can just barely make out the Golden Gate Bridge behind everyone, who stand upon a pile of rubble that we could assume is on the island of Nation X. When we put this together with the last image (“One will rise,” featuring Hope as both an angelic and demonic figure), then I would imagine the only one who has anything to sacrifice really is Cable. X-Force doesn’t really seem like they’d have anything to lose. Cable has been her “father” for years, and if Bishop was right all along and she really is just a disaster waiting to happen, then I’d imagine Cable might have to put one between the eyes.
