Fourth Shattered Dimension… Kind Of Revealed?

The mystery behind Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions has been, since the beginning, what universes does Spider-Man go to? We have had confirmation on the regular 616, the noir universe, and 2099. The last one has been blurred out on promotional images, but for what we don’t know.

Now, the cover is revealed! … and I can’t say I know any better. As put on Comics Alliance, “Spider-Man’s fourth dimension is some kind of veiny/foggy purple/black costume.” This obvious brings up ideas of the symbiote, which is really an over used idea in the Spider-Man videogame, but there is no confirmation. Joystiq even speculates that it could be Ultimate Spider-Man, but apparently they’re not that familiar with the Ultimate Spider-Man costume – if only for the fact it looks exactly like the 616 costume.

So what are your thoughts? What is the last universe? What is Dan Slott hiding from us? Keep your eyes open at Comic Con, where it should be revealed.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
