Francis Manapul Creates The Only DC/Marvel Crossover You’re Likely To See For A While (With Congrats To Arune Singh!)

That title was a mouthful. Phew!

Anyways, it’s no secret that lately, DC and Marvel haven’t exactly been on the best terms. It might have something to do with the competitive market, or perhaps Marvel telling retailers to rip up DC comics for Deadpool variants. Who knows! However, as Tom Brevoort has noted, despite fan urges for a new DC vs Marvel crossover comic, the only way to see that happening is to visit the offices of either company.

However, that doesn’t stop several DC people to be rather friendly with Marvel people, because there’s no need to make business personal. It’s with that in mind that Francis Manapul – a DC Exclusive artist – helped Arune Singh – Marvel’s Director of Communications – propose to his now fiance Michelle. As Manapul notes on his DeviantArt page, “he put a picture book together of them and this was revealed on the last page of the book as he got down on one knee to propose.” Awww.

So congrats to Arune and Michelle, and way to up the game for the rest of us comic nerds out there!

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
