We here at Multiversity have the eyes of eagles. It’s true. And last night on 30 Rock, we thought we noticed a quick sneak appearance of a comic that we might own… and as it turns out, we were 100% right!

On last night’s 30 Rock, Frank Rositano – played by Judah Friedlander – was attempting to prove to the woman he loved (his old 8th grade teacher) that he was finally ready to grow up and move beyond comic book movies starring Seth Logan as the Green … something. In an effort to prove his love, he went down to where she worked and began to throw some of his toys and comics in the deep fryer – including Avenger’s Academy #8 by Christos Gage and Mike McKone. And if the quick shot up top wasn’t enough, the camera even lingered a bit in a later shot:

Sorry, Christos and Mike (and Marvel). Frank had to grow up sometime.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
