Hot on the heels of Gotham being picked up by Fox, today what has been rumored has become truth: next year, there will be 5 hours worth of DC Entertainment programming on the air each week.
Joining Arrow on the CW will be both The Flash and iZombie. Fans of Arrow got a sneak peak at a few of the characters from The Flash, including the titular hero, throughout this past season.
iZombie, on the other hand, is being developed by Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas, and will star Rose McIver. “iZombie” ran for 28 issues on the Vertigo imprint, and was co-created by Chris Roberson and Mike Allred.

Over at NBC, Constantine, co-executive produced by DC’s go to writer/producer David S. Goyer, will reportedly be more true to the comics character than the film of the same name, starring Keanu Reeves, was in 2005.
With little known about all three of these series, there is still an air of optimism in the air – if Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the rumored Agent Carter series are picked up, that could mean there every night of the week, through the magic of DVRs, Hulu, and On-Demand offerings, comic fans have a TV show to watch based on a comic. This doesn’t even count The Walking Dead – it’s official, folks – comics are taking over television!
