Teased yesterday (to the chagrin of some), Empire has released all 25 covers to their upcoming Days of Future Past cover set, featuring both looks at the cast from the past, the future, and Bryan Singer in the center of it all just for good measure.

It’s an interesting line-up of covers. Personally, I’ve not been following casting information about this movie too closely because, sue me, I like to be surprised. However, these covers and all their “spoilers” are sort of hard to ignore and avoid, especially when people just start e-mailing you “Have you seen this yet?” So, y’know, whatever.

What I find interesting, though, is the future line-up of covers. This is mostly stuff I didn’t know about, so it’s all the more neat. For example, I didn’t know that Blink, Warpath or Sunspot were in the film, let alone what they looked like, and that Future Sentinel — which appears to be a bastardized version of Nimrod and the Nano-Sentinels from Morrison’s run — is kind of cool. Oh, and Xavier can walk again? So much for that bullet in the spine or whatever. I guess. I don’t know. I’ve not been following this stuff!

However, the biggest noteworthy cover here is the one of Anna Paquin as Rogue, which is noteworthy because Anna Paquin’s scenes were cut out of the movie. So if you’re going to buy any of these covers and try and convince people on eBay that they’re worth something, I’d guess this would be the one to buy.

So start scrolling to get your first looks at the humongous cast of Days of Future Past:

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
