Neal Adams, apparently on a break from his run on Batman: Odyssey (which is apparently still happening) will be teaming up with Marvel a bit further than just New Avengers #16.1 with Brian Bendis. As tweeted earlier,
Clearing the board for a five part Wolverine that Marvel seems to have re-titled “The First (something!)” I don’t think I am supposed to say… I’ve heard nothing but good things about @Christosgage. I intend to make this one of the best collaborations in comics ever. He does too!”
Christos Gage, who got his wings and a Marvel Exclusive last year at NYCC, is quickly one of the rising stars in Marvel’s line, penning the universally praised (at least at this site) Avengers Academy. Teaming him up with Adams for a Wolverine related project seems like a decent idea, and it could maybe possibly be related to that whole X-Men relaunch thing that’s coming in November. Or maybe not.
