Game of Thrones “In Memoriam” Video is Funny, But Also Really Sad

Debuting during the Game of Thrones SDCC panel, a 3-minute “In Memoriam” video of all the people who have died during the first three seasons was shown. It’s funny to a point, because hey, remember when that random guy died? Ha! Yeah. But then it starts to get to the characters you care about, and suddenly it’s not so funny anymore.

Still, worth a watch if you’re a GOT fan.

I believe this is also supposed to operate as the Season 4 teaser, in a fashion. The video ends with the words “The North Remembers,” which was also the branding used for Season 2 in posters featuring a bloody Stark banner, in reference to the final events of the first season. We can’t really talk about the latter of “A Storm of Swords” here because we don’t want to spoil anything for you, but it probably stands as worth noting that the events of Season 3 probably won’t go undiscussed.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
