Apparently one universe isn’t enough to contain Stephen Amell’s abs.
As reported by IGN, DC Entertainment CCO and writer Geoff Johns confirmed that the upcoming Justice League films being teed up with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016 will not crossover with any of its current television properties.

During The Flash panel at the Television Critics’ Association today, Johns stated that the film and television would not crossover. Talking to IGN afterwards, he said “You’ll see a lot of DC universe characters [on The Flash and Arrow]. You won’t see Batman or Superman. We’re on production on Batman V Superman now. So you’ll see characters like The Atom or Firestorm, but no not Batman or Superman right now [on TV].”
It’s a move that makes a lot of sense considering how tying a television series to a film can often hamper the former’s creative direction (see: the first two-thirds of Agents of Shield). In fact, allowing Arrow to spin-off into its own universe with spin-offs like The Flash and the allegedly in-development Hourman has worked pretty well for the programs so far, especially since none of them will be lacking DC guest stars like the aforementioned Atom or Firestorm.

Still, it’ll be a shame to not see Grant Gustin’s version of Barry Allen on the big screen, though he’s hardly the only Flash. If we’re already doing a “Dark Knight Returns” older Batman than maybe we might see Wally West alongside the Justice League.
Also of note was The CW president Mark Pedowitz wanting to produce a Wonder Woman TV show. Though the Amazonian set to debut in Dawn of Justice and her CW show Amazon is reportedly dead, Pedowitz said “If she is [available for TV] and we can get the right script we will do it.”
