The final issue of “Killjoys” is in stores now and with it, our last comic from Gerard Way (and Shaun Simon and Becky Cloonan) for the time being. But it’s not the last we’ll see from Way in the world of comics, and in addition to the “coming out eventually” third volume of “Umbrella Academy,” it appears that Way has a new book he is tinkering on assumedly called “All Ages” that stars cats.

Punk cats, that is.

I say that it is assumedly called “All Ages” and is not itself an all ages comic because from the pictures alone I can’t really imagine a book that young kids could read starring these characters. Or rather, I’d imagine it’s gear towards teenagers, which for better or for worse has always been where Way has focused his endeavors — musical, comics or otherwise. And I don’t mean that in a bad way at all (I say, having re-discovered my copy of The Black Parade last week).

So. Meet the cast:

Lemon
Koko
Jones

Nothing else is known about “All Ages” and its feline protagonists, but hey, “Umbrella Academy” and “Killjoys” are both great. I’d expect nothing less from whatever this is.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
