One of the most anticipated licensed properties launching this year, veteran comic writer and eternal comic favorite Gail Simone will be writing the continued adventures of Lara Craft, aka what some people know as the Tomb Raider. Whether it be from her myriad of games or that movie starring Angelina Jolie, Lara is a cultural staple — yet her comic runs have always been short lived.
Now, with Simone at the helm alongside Nicolás Daniel Selma, Dark Horse is clearly hoping for bigger and better things. With last year’s videogame relaunch being hailed as a great revival of the franchise, here’s hoping that the comic continuation can match the tone and veracity of the game, as well as bringing us a story of the quality that Simone is decidedly known for.
