Because taking over Green Arrow wasn’t good enough for the duo, it looks like Keith Giffen and Dan Jurgens are going to be taking over Superman from writer George Perez after issue #6. Perez might stay on as inker/finisher with artist Jesus Merino, but no additional information is available at this time.

Perez, one of DC’s most famous creators, has been responsible for historic runs on both Teen Titans and Wonder Woman, as well as illustrating the seminal DC work Crisis on Infinite Earths. His first issue of Superman, while exposition heavy, was still faithful to the character and a stalwart relaunch for the creator, receiving fairly good  reviews (including from us).

Perez will retain inking duties for Green Arrow, while Giffen will be co-writing OMAC and Green Arrow as well as illustrating OMAC while Jurgens will be writing Justice League International and illustrating Green Arrow.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
