MTV has the exclusive cover and creative team reveal for “Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman” #3, and while the Ivan Reis and Joe Prado cover is neat and all, I kind of think they buried the lede on this one. Why is that?

Gilbert freaking Hernandez is working on this comic, both writing and drawing a story.

Notable for being a legend and part of Los Bros Hernandez (in life and in creativity), the man known to many as Beto whose work includes “Love & Rockets”, “Marble Season”, the upcoming “Bumperhead” and more is not known for his superhero work. To see him write and draw a Wonder Woman comic makes it all the more notable.

And given what we’ve seen from him, this should be an amazing, must read experience, and I love how he has drawn Wonder Woman in the past, so this should be a visual treat. This is super rad news, and I really, really hope this isn’t some random creator also named Gilbert Hernandez. If it isn’t, bravo to DC for bringing him on, and we really cannot wait.
