– Jared Leto got some help in developing the Joker for the upcoming Suicide Squad movie. Morrison told DC Comics spotlight panelGamesRadar that “he [Leto] called me to talk about his approach to the character and I steered him in a few directions. I’m keen to see if anything other than slicked back hair and the Marilyn Manson vibe made it into his performance.” In other news, here’s an exclusive clip we have from Suicide Squad

– Speaking of Suicide Squad, Will Smith told Beats 1 Radio that Leto was in character for the entirety of shooting Suicide Squad. Tragically, he was also in character for his press appearance on The Today Show. The FBI has posted a monetary reward for anyone can find and return Al Roker’s face.

Black Panther has reportedly found its screenwriter in Joe Robert Cole. There’s not many other details yet regarding the 2018 film, but at least we live in a world where Black Panther is actually getting made.

– Amidst all the love for “Power Man and Iron Fist”, you might like to know that David F. Walker will also be writing a new Shaft mini-series and prose novel.

Tricia Helfer will appear on the upcoming season of Powers as a character I’ve never heard of. Sorry, I don’t think Multiversity Comics has a specialized Powers expert to help me out on this.

– I only just started reading Valiant Comics with their “Book of Death” so it’s pretty weird that the new “Bloodshot Reborn” crossover ‘The Analog Man’ is about another hopeless future. I’m really starting to notice a theme here. And on an unironic note of excitement, Lewis Larosa will be drawing the comic’s interiors!

– Check out this trailer for Jessica Jones where she jumps five stories to her office window. I do like how Netflix is keeping these teasers incredibly low-key, but I completely anticipate the next trailer consisting solely of Jessica getting coffee for fifty seconds.

– After her recent surge in popularity thanks to Suicide Squad and Beware The Batman!, Katana will get her own mini-series from DC Comics with Task Force X teammate, Headshot. The six issue mini-series will be written by Katana’s co-creator, Mike W. Barr. Read the interview at ComicsAlliance where they talk to Barr about how it feels working with a character that has evolved without him and how Headshot is going to tie into all this. (With guns. He’s going to tie into this comic book with his guns.)
