Grant Morrison’s “18 Days” Animated Series Finally Sees the Light of Day

Here’s a fun story: a long time ago, I used to work for a studio as an audio engineer (the audio engineer, in fact). During this time, we had a job that was being vetted to several studios at the time to produce 18 Days, a version of the Mahabharata written by Grant Morrison to be a science fiction animated epic. The studio I worked for folded due to lack of income and obviously did not get the gig, but working on that and seeing the test animations and adding sound effects to them was the last I’d heard of 18 Days.

Until now, apparently.

Debuting at Graphic India later this year and featuring music by rock band Pentagram, the story will be familiar to most Eastern audiences, although it’s not as popularized in the West. That said, with a guy like Morrison helming it, that’s clearly going to be changing rather fast. Graphic India have uploaded a trailer and some behind the scenes videos for the book already, so take a look below and get psyched for its debut soon:

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
