That title is 100% serious. In a world where things as awesome as Cowboys Vs. Aliens can exist, now it’s time for the Dinosaurs to get in on the action!

So it looks like Liquid Comics, the studio working with Grant Morrison to bring 18 Days to life, is now also going to be making a film with Grant Morrison called Dominion: Dinosaurs Vs. Aliens. Morrison will be developing both the comic book and the screenplay for director Barry Sonnenfeld, who previously directed Men In Black. Basically, think of what Darron Aronofsky did with The Fountain and is currently doing with Noah – but this time with more dinosaurs. Much more dinosaurs.

You can expect the comic book later this year from Liquid Comics, with the movie assumedly soon to follow. If this isn’t an indication of where the film industry is looking right now (with 2 comic book movies in theaters right now and at least 4 more to come this summer alone), I don’t know what is. Either way, with Morrison at the helm of the project, you’re more than welcome to expect good things from this.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
