“Green Hornet” is back in a new series from Dynamite debuting this June. “Red Hood and the Outlaws” writer Scott Lobdell and artist Anthony Marques are bringing back Green Hornet, Kato and the Black Beauty for their tenth anniversary at Dynamite Entertainment. Marques will be inking and coloring his own work, with Taylor Esposito (“Batman,” “No One Left To Fight”) on letters.

“The Green Hornet is one of the first heroes that built the foundation of the comics industry, and we’ve been proudly publishing his adventures for 10 years now,” said Nick Barrucci, Dynamite CEO and Publisher. “I couldn’t be happier with this new book, which is put together by a group of true comic pros with years of collective experience and strong relationships with each other and Dynamite! This is a great way to celebrate the Hornet’s 10th Anniversary at Dynamite!”

The series follows the Green Hornet as he protects an alien baby from harm in his natural noir manner. He will go up against common criminals, mad scientists, botched science experiments and alien invaders.

“The world is going to change for the Green Hornet and Kato in a huge way,” said Marques. “Scott has crafted a Green Hornet story unlike any other and I’m so excited to be the one who gets to draw it! Everyone is putting in the work to deliver not only the best Green Hornet series but the best comic series available today!”

“One of the most fun parts of Green Hornet is the way the character lends itself to any kind of story. Noir. Superhero. Action-Adventure. Buddy Comedy. Sci-Fi. Urban Horror. We’re doing a series that combines all those elements into one epic saga,” Lobdell added. “I think a lot of people are going to put these books down and say ‘Damn, they got a lot of story into this issue!'”

“Green Hornet” #1 releases June 2020 with an array of covers by Lee Weeks, Anthony Marques, Dave Johnson, Mike McKone, Leonardo Romero And Walter Geovani.
